I bought this scale under the impression in would accurately weigh to 0.1 grain - it does not - it will go to 0.2 grains accuracy. Other than that it seems to be reasonably accurate and easy to use.

I got this scale to mix photographic chemistry. It's a great item and it's really well made. The controls are very deliberate: you need to hold down the "off" button in order to get the scale to turn off, the same with the tare button and the other buttons. The other scale I have is a regular digital kitchen scale, so this took a bit of getting used to, but it all makes sense from a lab environment.

As another reviewer mentions, the corresponding calibration weight for this scale is 100 grams *not* 50 grams as the product description says. I did get a calibration weight.

This portable scale continues to function well and serve its purpose. Unfortunately it is not rated for commerce, so one cannot officially use it to weigh items for sale or purchase. But it is effective for doing "quick checks" and researching actual versus published weights of items. Good weight range and multiple units of measure makes this tool very helpful. Trade off is its small size, but it handles the majority of tasks.
