This is actually the first time something has gone wrong. The drive worked fine, but the Nero CD that accompanied it was scratched and the readable CD surface was blotchy and dull. As I suspected the CD could not be read in this drive and several others I put it in. However I'm rating the drive and that's a 5!

I had to replace the burner that came with my computer, and I ran across this one...it's cheap, it will burn anything..
So I bought it, it was easy to install..worked from the first try and I haven't messed up a cd yet.
