I was looking for a bed for my 3 yr old and wanted a junior loft bed because he has a small room and I thought the space underneath would be great for storage & play. A regular loft bed would have been too tall so this fit the bill perfectly.

I love the look of this bed and the quality is pretty good. After reading many reviews, I think I expected too much because the bed isn't as solid as I was hoping for. There is more wiggle to it than I was expecting but not so much that I'm concerned about my sons safety. It has been jumped on by my son, along with his 7 and 9 yr old sisters - all at the same time - and it's still standing so I'm happy. There is plenty of room underneath for him to play and for some storage. I'm 5'4" and I can sit comfortable underneath.

For the most part, I put the bed together by myself and it took a couple of hours to do - including the time to lay out the pieces, putting the new bedding on, etc. There were a couple of times I needed help holding something in position so I could screw another piece in but for the most part, I was solo.

The bed looks nice and my son loves it. I would recommend this bed but know that there will be a little wiggle to it. I have found that the screws loosened up on me over time so I went through and tightened them all up. Not sure if this will happen again but I will keep an eye on it. Once I tightened them, it did resolve some of the wiggle. But for the price, you really can't beat it.

Lower than bunk beds, but high enough that my son can climb up to bed. Regardless though, the kid will get hurt in a fall regardless of this loft or a bunk bed if they are not cautious. Just depends on how much a risk-taker your kid is. The loft with the 3-drawer chests are a nice space-saver; plus your kid will love to hide under it. The bed is easy and quick to put together (used a drill). It was a little wobbly so I had to anchor it tight against the wall. Also the back rail rattles (pegs don't fit in tight like the rest) so I will be getting a little wood glue in there. Finally as with other reviews I have read, the ladder is a bit challenging to navigate. It is straight up and down and is awkward to come down. The 1st time coming down, my son tried it face first and he scraped his back on the top step (this is how he comes down in his playset outside). So I put some padding on it and we have since teached him how to come down facing the bed and he seems to enjoy it. Overall, I like it for the price point.

Love this loft bed! Easy to put together and looks just as pictured.... Loft beds are great for smaller rooms because it provides extra play area underneath!
